Let's Play Soul Nomad and the World Eaters, Part 4

Old acquaintances are fought and a plan is hatched to take down Feinne.

Characters introduced this time (in order of appearance)

Euphoria
Voiced by: Karen Strassman

Levin's sister, whose health seems to have taken a turn for the better.   Has a surprisingly good sense of humor as well.

I also unlocked a few other goodies as I was doing a bit of off-camera leveling.

A new room type, the Foreseer Foyer.  Basically, once summoned, that room can't move for two turns, but their ACT stat will get a 15-point bonus.

The Gypsy class, which can buff or debuff units.  In the front row, her attack will inflict a Hit -40% debuff on one enemy.  In the middle row, she'll buff an entire row's Attack and Hit stats by 30% for one attack.  In the back row, she'll buff a row's Intelligence by 20%.  The downside is that they have very poor compatibility with most units (although they work well with Endorph, Revya, Knights and Bareknuckles).

Bards, which are also primarily used to buff or debuff units.  In the middle row, they'll attack a single unit and possibly lower their Attack by 20%.  In the back row, they'll buff a single unit's Attack by 30% for one attack.  They also have poor compatibility with many units (even moreso than Gypsies), although Danette, Pyremages, Swordsmen and Saboteurs like them.

Finally, if you leave a room completely empty and exit/re-enter the menu screen, this guy may occasionally show up.  Kotaro will take up a single slot in an empty room (refusing to move from there), automatically assigns himself as the Leader, and will help you out for one full battle before leaving.  He's actually more useful than he sounds, since he tends to be higher-leveled than the rest of your party when he shows up.

Let's Play Soul Nomad and the World Eaters, Part 3

Wherein we meet the awesome anti-hero of the Nippon Ichi universe and take the plunge into random dungeoning.

Characters introduced this time (in order of appearance)

Endorph
Voiced by: Grant George

A member of the bandits who wields a strange power.  He claims to be from another world, though he refuses to elaborate much on this.  Unlike his partner Shauna, he seems to have a fondness for the weak and poor.

(Fans of Phantom Brave will probably recognize him as Walnut/Faded from that game, though the fact that he wields guns is a bit strange seeing as how that game had no ranged weaponry whatsoever!)

Shauna
Voiced by: Karen Strassman

Leader of a group of bandits who seems to come from a rich family and bears a grudge against the poor.  We'll learn more about her later.

"Smiling Man"
Voiced by: Jamieson Price

Revealed in one of the dream sequences, it seems that he is the driving force behind Gig's campaign to destroy Prodesto.  His exact motive for this is unknown as of yet.

Let's Play Suikoden II Bonus 4: Hai Yo's subplot

I just realized that I never finished the cooking contest sub-plot during my playthrough.  So here's ShadowHawk2012's playlist showing how the whole scenario plays out.

Let's Play Soul Nomad and the World Eaters, Part 2

Some ineffectual bandits attack and a brief scuffle with the Nereids ensues.  We're mostly here to set up a bunch of new characters, though.

Characters introduced this time (in order of appearance)

"Dio" and "Gestahl"

Voiced by: Kyle Hebert and Dave Wittenberg

He asserts that he is "Dio, Sorcerer of the Great Eye" and is backed by "the blazing warrior Gestahl", but it's pretty obvious that they're not who they claim to be.

 Levin
Voiced by: Liam O' Brien

A bareknuckle Sepp fighter in Christophe's employ who, like Danette, is somewhat hot-headed and reckless.  Cares deeply for his sister Euphoria.

Vitali
Voiced by: Derek Stephen Prince

A cleric in Christophe's employ.  Also seems to act as a spy for Christophe.

 Christophe

Voiced by: Jamieson Price

A trade baron who runs most of the affairs in Raide.  Manipulative and a bit of a double-dealer, but he ultimately seems to be on the up-and-up.

Cuthbert

Voiced by: ?

Christophe's younger brother.  That's about all we know for now.

"Kindly Lady"

Voiced by: ?

Seen only in a dream sequence and implied to be Revya's mother, and that's about all we know so far.

Penn

Voiced by: Barbara Goodson

A young boy who seems to be in league with the Nereids.

Juno

Voiced by: Tara Platt

The leader of the Nereids, an all-female race that has allegedly been attacking Raide.  It seems the Nereids also wish to destroy the World Eaters.

And just for the hell of it, here's the two "cinematic" frames from the first chapter.  (Click for the full versions)

Let's Play SaGa Frontier (T260's Quest), Part 5

Virtual worlds are explored and many, many battles are fought on the route to the core of the region-destroying super weapon, RB3.

For those who are curious about what the Type 8 body is capable of, here's another video showing it in action against the final boss.

In short: The Type 8 comes equipped with V-MAX, FortBody (20 Defense armor) and MegaBeamSword (a 55 ATK sword), and also has the special skill Graviton.

The V-MAX will greatly boost all of T260's stats while it is active and enables his CosmicRave and StarlightShower attacks, but when it wears off, his stats will all be drastically reduced, so it's a bit of a double-edged sword.  CosmicRave is a very powerful physical attack that targets one enemy while StarlightShower is a powerful holy-element attack that hits all enemies.
