The original PC port of Resident Evil was very notoriously not good; It was badly programmed and would desync if run at anything faster than its recommended specs. Thankfully, PCGamingWiki comes to the rescue here, providing patches for the Japanese Mediakite version to add English support, run in higher resolutions, add XInput controller support and even allow for mods.
