I found a fix for the menu lag!
- Grab kentie's Direct3D 10 Renderer
- Set it in the launcher to use that renderer, set the FPS cap to 0, then launch the game.
- Hit the default key for Sent to All (T by default) and you'll see "(>Say". Press backspace until the line just says "(>"
- Type in "preferences" to bring up the options for the Direct3D renderer.
- Under "Rendering -> Direct3D support, find the FPSLimit field, and set it to 60.
