Virtual Boy Shenanigans ( stream)

We take a look at all the games from Nintendo's most notorious failed project, the Virtual Boy.  Released in 1995 as an attempt to bring "virtual reality" to gaming, we instead got a bunch of mediocre games with tacked on 3D perspective and not much else to define them.  That, paired with the console's rather low quality construction and a red-and-black color palette that made games extremely difficult to see, let alone play for extended periods, ensured that it would sell well under 1 million units worldwide and be discontinued within a year of its launch.

Perhaps owing to the system's cult following, emulation for the Virtual Boy is surprisingly robust.  Some games do show occasional corrupted graphics, but they all load up and can be played.
